On her way to a piano lesson, Kaneda Saki  bumps into another girl the same age. In school, she meets the girl again and finds out that her name is Oikawa Kanon , and that she is deaf. She uses this as a way to keep herself distanced from others at school. Familiar with the feeling of loneliness, Saki reaches out to Kanon and finds her music changing.

金田一咲希は高校入学直前のある日、
ピアノレッスンに向かう途中で
見知らぬ同世代の少女とぶつかり手を擦りむくが、
相手から無言のまま真っすぐに見つめられた後、
落とした楽譜を丁寧に拾われ絆創膏をもらう。
咲希は印象的だったその少女とクラスメイトとして再会し、
名前が及川奏音、そして耳が不自由だと知る。
学校では障害を理由に周囲と距離を置く奏音に、
淋しさを覚えた咲希はどうにか分かり合おうとし、
そんな彼女の姿に奏音の態度も次第に変わっていき…。
